LittleSafe Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LittleSafe collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information in the LittleSafe mobile app and website. It is written to support clear user disclosure and Google Play Console review, including the Data safety section and account deletion requirements.

Data we collect

• Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, provider session data, and account status.
• Family profile information: family name, family members, invite codes, child names, optional child profile photos, and caregiver roles.
• Emergency contact information: optional emergency contact name and phone number that you enter in the app.
• Location and movement data: with permission, the app uses foreground and background location signals, speed, accuracy, and timestamps to infer when a drive may have started or ended. Trip records may store start and end coordinates for safety reminder history.
• Reminder and notification data: notification event type, reminder status, acknowledgement state, and related trip identifiers.
• Subscription data: entitlement status, renewal period, product tier, and store purchase identifiers from Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat. LittleSafe does not receive your full payment card number.
• Device and app data: app configuration, permission state, local safety settings, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate the service.
• Advertising and analytics data: on Android, LittleSafe and its Meta and TikTok App Events SDKs collect and transmit the Android Advertising ID and other app or device identifiers, app and device context, and app events such as install, launch, onboarding completion, Baby Mode activation, trial or subscription actions, and purchase events. LittleSafe does not send child names, child photos, emergency contacts, precise location, routes, or reminder content to Meta or TikTok.

How we use data

• Authenticate your account and keep your profile available across sessions.
• Provide Baby Mode, drive prompts, trip-end reminders, repeat reminders, and safety settings.
• Operate family seats, child profiles, invite codes, and shared family access.
• Process subscriptions, free trials, renewals, restores, and entitlement status.
• Measure app installs, engagement, trial and subscription outcomes, advertising attribution, and marketing performance.
• Provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Background location

LittleSafe requests background location because reminders may need to work when your phone is locked or the app is not open. The app uses movement, speed, and stop timing to infer drive moments. Your route is not shown publicly, sold, or used for advertising.

Notifications

LittleSafe uses local notifications to ask about your passenger, remind you after a drive, repeat reminders, and send test notifications. You can control notification permission from your device settings.

Data sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers needed to run LittleSafe and share limited device identifiers and app-event data with advertising partners for analytics, attribution, audience measurement, and ad optimization. We do not share precise or background location, routes, family profiles, child data, child photos, emergency contacts, or reminder content with advertising partners.

• Supabase: authentication, database, private storage, and serverless account deletion functions.
• RevenueCat: subscription entitlement, purchase status, product tier, and webhook processing.
• Apple and Google Play: in-app purchase, subscription, billing, cancellation, and store account management.
• Meta: Android app-event measurement, advertising attribution, audience measurement, and campaign optimization using device identifiers and app events.
• TikTok: Android app-event measurement, advertising attribution, audience measurement, and campaign optimization using device identifiers and app events.
• Device platforms: iOS and Android permission, notification, and background execution systems.

Security

LittleSafe uses authenticated access, HTTPS, private Supabase Storage for child photos, and row-level access controls for user and family data. No internet-connected system is perfectly secure, but the app is designed to limit access to the family and account that own the data.

Retention

We keep account, subscription, trip, notification, family, child, and support data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or process deletion. Local device data may remain on your device until you sign out, delete the app, clear app data, or delete your account.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the LittleSafe app from Settings by choosing Delete account. You can also request deletion at https://littlesafe.app/delete-account/ or by emailing info@littlesafe.app.

Deleting your LittleSafe account deletes profile data tied to your account and cascades deletion for owned app records such as trips, notification history, subscription records, family membership, and related family data controlled by that account, subject to lawful retention requirements. Store subscriptions must also be cancelled through Apple or Google Play if you do not want future billing.

Your choices

• You can deny or revoke background location. Core reminder behavior may not work without it.
• You can deny or revoke notifications. The app may not be able to remind you.
• You can reset or delete the Advertising ID in Android privacy settings. This may limit advertising attribution and measurement.
• You can edit profile, emergency contact, Baby Mode, schedule, child, and family settings in the app.
• You can restore or cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play.

Children and family data

LittleSafe is intended for parents and caregivers. Child profiles and optional photos are entered by a parent or caregiver to support a family safety routine. LittleSafe does not knowingly let children create independent accounts.

Changes

We may update this policy as LittleSafe changes. The updated date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
